A Hissy Fit
A man who came across a wild feral cat is now responsible for saving the cat’s life after finding it stuck with a can over its head. The man seemed to be travelling up the side of a road when suddenly he spotted the small feline and began noticing the problem. An aluminium can was preventing the cat to breathe properly, and so it seems the kind gentleman took it upon himself to save the day.
After arriving inside the man’s car, he slowly and carefully removed the cat from the cat’s head. Suddenly, the cat began to hiss at him devilishly and began retaliating by trying to jump out of the car immediately.
To save himself and the cat from further injury, he distanced himself from the furry animal and closed the windows to allow him to calm down. After a few minutes, the man began contemplating what to do with the cat now that he successfully assisted in its survival.
“Should I let him free? Or should I take him with me?” The man pondered.
He began thinking until finally, he realized that it may not be fair to the other cats in the shelter given the rambunctious attitude of the cat in front of him. Nevertheless, the man opened his rear passenger door and offered the feline a choice: you can go outside or you can stay here with me.
The 10-second countdown began to determine the fate of the rescued kitten. As the cat looked outside, you can hear the howl of the wind blowing harshly past the bushes and trees. Off the bat, the image of an ideal life looked bleak for the cat. However, the cat still thought about his decision. He gave another look outside and noticed the chill air almost warning him to stay away.
Saved By The Bell
The cat kept strafing his head left and right as if deciding what to do next. After the 9 second mark, the man really wanted to make sure the cat had a say of his own and so he repeated the ninth digit just in case the kitty had any last-second doubts of his decision.
As it turns out, it looks like the kitty made his decision from the start. He chose to stay! The man later took the kitty to a veterinarian clinic where they fed and cleaned the cat. The kitten had a shaking leg, but it looked as if though he was just startled by the new changes around him.
During the initial stages, the cat looked to eat his food, although he was still a bit aggressive when approached. After 2 days, he was looking more receptive, but still a little apprehensive and defensive about receiving any warm human contact. The man never gave up hope and still decided to press on with the kitty’s development.
On day 4, things took a surprising twist. The man attempted to pet the cat without offering food and would you believe it: the cat put up no fight! He immediately lowered his head in confidence to some neck and head rubs from his savior.
By day 6, the cat had fully adapted to his new home. He was at peace in his new kitty bed and seemed to adjust perfectly fine. The lesson learned: never give up on those you love and want to inspire change in!
