We all know how dogs are protective of their humans. Our furry friends display undying loyalty to the point that they would give their lives for us. If you need reassurance or just want to see a funny clip, you’re in luck. This German Shepherd decided to take on water!
See, this toddler was playing around with a sprinkler on full blast when the dog thought it was too dangerous for the tiny human. That stream of water might injure his friend!
The GSD goes on full attack mode.
He nudges the toddler aside and with all his might, goes snapping at the evil water gushing forth from the sprinkler. He gives it a few choice bites, pulling back whenever the power of the sprinkler overwhelmed him. His toddler friend finds it amusing though.
This good boy is undaunted.
No way is he going to let that sprinkler get the better of him! He backs up every now and then but continues the attack, snapping at the stream of water when he can. How much damage he’s inflicting is anyone’s guess. He’s a fighter!
This boy is trying to live up to his breed’s reputation. At least that’s what it looks like here. German Shepherds are confident and courageous. They are agile, noble, and smart but sometimes, their antics are more comedy than brave. Still, A for effort.
GSDs are great family pets willing to stand guard while providing love for their humans. They have a certain aloofness that may seem intimidating to some but get a shepherd to warm up to you and you have a friend for life. Guaranteed!
This tough boy is not backing down. He runs off a bit, maybe to nurse his ego, but eventually comes back with force getting in a few blows when he can. All he wants to do is avenge his little human!
They are an extremely versatile breed.
German Shepherds almost always excel in anything they are taught to do. They are one of the world’s most popular breeds, easily recognizable for their black and brown markings, handsome face, and muscular stance. Standing still, a well bred dog will look like a missile ready to be shot out of a barrel. Except cuter with a lot of snuggles.
Consider yourself protected, little human!
It’s very sweet when you think about it. Those protective instincts kicked in when the dog assumed there was danger. He thought the child was in harm’s way so he pushes the kid away and takes the dangerous situation head on. What a good boy!
His parents may be laughing at the hilarious moment but give it an hour or so when they realize that this dog of theirs is just doing his job. This woofer should be getting extra treats. Mom and dad, pat each other on the back for a wonderful choice of dog. Then pat your shepherd as well.
He did an excellent job!
Where else do you get instant protection with a good laugh for good measure? That’s right. This dog even went after the sprinkler on the far end of the property. He took on 2 evil sprinklers! Now that’s earned him double the amount of treats!
