Do you believe that dogs are more than man’s best friend?

Dogs are the most versatile domesticated animals serving as supporters, defenders, rescuers, and companions.

These canines are amazing friends for people, and they have been for decades. Humans and dogs have a unique relationship, a deep connection that at times nobody can explain.

There have also been numerous stories of heroic dogs saving their owners’ lives, which is comparable to what this stray dog did.

In August 2020, during the street performance for the Victory Day celebration in Turkey, the script called for actor Numan Ertuğrul Uzunsoy to pretend he was injured after his character fell off a horse.

On the other hand, one furry audience misinterpreted the scene for real and rushed to his aid!

A worried stray dog approached Uzunsoy, who was lying down on the ground with his eyes closed. With his tail wagging, the canine sniffed at his head, began licking his face, and snuggled his chin as if to console him.

“The character I played was injured and in great pain,” Uzunsoy said. “He’d fallen off a horse, and was breathing hard.”

The dog unintentionally disrupted the live show to comfort an “injured” stranger. What a thoughtful gesture!

Uzunsoy, on the other hand, was caught off guard.

“I felt warmth on my face. First, I thought my costar was approaching me,” he explained.

However, when Uzunsoy realized it was a furry buddy and not his co-star, he couldn’t help but smile.

“I was very happy when I felt the dog’s kisses,” he added sweetly. “I was very touched. He was like an angel who wanted to help me. It was a very emotional moment for me. I was not expecting it.”

While they were all astounded, the other actors adored the dog and his short appearance.

The crowd who clapped and applauded when they saw the dog comforting Uzunsoy, was also delighted with the quick interlude.

Eventually, a crew member assisted the sweet dog off the stage, but not before giving him the belly rubs he so truly deserved!

The dog lingered on his side for a while before leaving the venue, taking Uzunsoy the opportunity to properly thank him for his kindness.

Uzunsoy wished to see the puppy again and assist him in finding a permanent home. He went to the venue of the play the next day to look for him.

“People told me he usually hangs out there. I went again today,” Uzunsoy said. “I’ll look for him until I find him. I’ve always loved animals.”

What a sweet story of a stray dog!

Moreover, here is another wonderful short tale of a canine.

A brave dog from the Philippines literally saved a life — after he was trying to warn a passing motorist about an abandoned baby.

Junrell Fuentes Revilla was riding his motorcycle through the mountains of Sibonga in Cebu when the dog chased him down.

At first, Junrell overlooked the dog. But when he wouldn’t stop barking at him, the man assumed the dog was trying to communicate with him.

The man approached the anxious dog, and led him to a grassy area where he discovered a baby boy wrapped in a brown towel!

Junrell rushed the newborn to the nearest hospital, with his umbilical cord still attached.

The authorities initially taught the hero dog was a stray.

However, when volunteers from a rescue organization traveled up to the mountains in the hopes of finding the dog and rescue him, they found that he already had a loving home.

Various organizations gave the heroic dog and his family Php10,000 ($210) worth of groceries, two sacks of rice, Php5,000 ($105) worth of pet supplies, other goodies, and Php5,000 cash, as gratitude, all of which came from donations.

The so-called “man’s best friend” is much more than a pet. Dogs can save our lives too!
