We are lucky to have our one loyal friend who always has our back no matter what happens.

But little do we know, animals can also rely on each other in times of trouble. With their so-called animal instincts, they know where and when to attack.

Comparing them to us, humans, animals also back up their kind when needed. It’s just that, in this particular video, you’ll see a very unlikely furry tandem.

Have you ever seen a dog stopping a catfight?

Let’s admit it, at some point in our lives, we thought of dogs and cats as mortal enemies. But there have already been stories about beautiful friendships between these two home pets.

Although that’s the case, there’s still no denying that we’ve seen more quarrels than cuddles between these species.

Actually, we are partly right about the rivalry between cats and dogs but they are not natural enemies like we’ve used to know.

According to the American Kennel Club:

“Cats and dogs are by no means natural enemies, but there are a few behavioral differences that can set them at odds.”

This cat-dog duo is the animal counterpart of Batman and Robin. When superheroes got themselves in a huge fight, they’d still need a backup or a sidekick. This cat and dog show that kind of relationship.

A funny video of them has been uploaded by FactsTV LK on their YouTube channel and it’s already racked over 13 million views since 2018.

The short clip starts with a stand-off between two cats, on the blue corner is the cat with black and white spots while on the red corner is the feline with white and orange fur. Shortly during their heated face-off, a Golden Retriever comes in and grabs the black and white cat by its scruff.

Come here, little buddy!

That must’ve been the exact line that the dog said. He doesn’t mind meddling between the two cats, all he wants is peace so he decides to pull his furry pal out of the scene.

It’s amazing how the pooch single-“handedly” yanks the cat out.

What’s even more amazing is the cat doesn’t mind being handled in such a way. The two must be really good friends because there’s no resistance from the feline, none at all!

The Golden Retriever is like the marshall of the area.

It would also make sense if the dog and the cat belongs to the same person. It looks like the canine is the cat’s big dog brother because it willingly abides by the restraining gesture of the doggo.

It’s like the dog’s telling the cat, “I already told you not to start catfights around this area! Mom and dad are going to be mad once they find out about this!”

Even the online viewers had their own script of the conversation between the two.

One commenter wrote:

“The dog is pulling the cat away like “this I why I can’t bring you nowhere, always trynna fight the street cats”

Another one wrote:

“You’re lucky my man is holding me back you’d be catching these paws right about now!”

While this one pretty much summed it all up:

“Seriously though the amount of trust the cat has for the dog is insane. She didn’t jump and attack him either. The one time I tried to pick up my cat while he and another cat we’re about to fight, I was scratched pretty bad.”

There might be a reason why the Golden Retriever and the cat have such a beautiful relationship.

“Despite these differences, many cats and dogs learn to live in harmony and even develop friendly relationships — leading them to play and nap together. Early socialization between kittens and puppies helps them overcome suspicions, and introducing young animals to tolerant, older animals encourages respectful habits.”

We couldn’t agree more, this video alone shows a different level of trust between a cat and a dog.
