Picture this: you’ve finally ticked off all items on your to-do list and you’re more than ready to relax and put your feet up. You grab your go-to beverage and comfort food along with a book and a tablet, and head towards the porch for a nice, quiet time outdoors.

But just as you’re about to open the door, you spot something curious (and somewhat frightening) right outside.

Not kittens, or chickens, or deer – large, carnivorous creatures making themselves comfortable on your front deck.

What do you do?

Naturally, aside from not attempting to go near, you make yourself scarce, stay as silent as possible, and of course… film everything.

After all, how many times in your life will you be blessed with mountain lions pacing languidly about your porch?

Mountain lions are known to have the widest geographic range of any land mammal. This means they’re able to easily settle in different habitats. Their diet mainly consists of deer and smaller mammals like mice and rabbits.

But of course, a close encounter with one (or in this man’s case, four) is enough to inject fearful thoughts in your head, such as ending up as their main course.

Apart from their striking physique, these carnivores are also known for their size, strength, and predatory skills. They have powerful hind legs that enable them to jump far, and excellent vision and hearing that comes in handy for hunting.

They explored the deck separately, with one even jumping up on a railing, traipsing with ease.

One can only imagine the awe the Colorado homeowner was feeling as he filmed the cats moving around his deck.

Minutes after exploring curiously, the handsome creatures decided it was time to leave.

They left as casually as they arrived, walking gracefully down the steps and back onto the ground.
