When the lights go out this cat is up to no good.

While some people have problems falling asleep, Lomphonten Lomphontan had a different problem – he couldn’t seem to stay that way. It seems he had some kind of breathing problem that only appeared to bother him while he slept.

He decided to install a camera to see what his sleeping patterns were like, and that’s when he finally discovered that his dreams of being choked to death weren’t all in his head – it was actually happening in real life!

And you won’t believe who was responsible for literally taking this poor man’s breath away…

Cat owners don’t like to admit it, but their loving and affectionate fur babies can turn on them at any moment – and they’ll do it when you least expect it!

Take Achi, for example. This furball is a true Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde sort of character. He appears to be a cute kitty by day, but that’s just part of his evil plot to mess with his hooman’s mind.

When darkness settles in, that’s when Achi’s true colors start to shine. However, with the help of a night vision camera, Lomphonten was finally able to see his “breathtaking” cat in a whole new way!

Achi isn’t exactly the snuggling type. Sure, he’ll play with his human toy now and then, but only on his terms, and only when it suits him.

And in Achi’s eyes, there’s no better time to play with your toy than when he’s fast asleep and can’t catch you being a bad kitty!

You’d think that Lomphonten would have figured out by now that his sometimes cuddly cat may not be the best friend he thinks he is.

I mean seriously, look at that face! Does this man not know that his cat is secretly saying, “It’ll happen one day soon hooman…just you wait!”

As it turns out, that doomsday actually happens every single night.

Achi is too shy to snuggle up with his buddy when other cats can see him.

But, the moment the lights go out, Achi springs into action with his favorite evening playtime ritual!

First he checks to make sure that his toy is out cold. After batting his paw at Lomphonten’s chest a few times to make sure he won’t move, Achi proceeds to make a bed pillow out of his warm, squishy head.

What a purrrrrfect setup!

Only, Achi makes himself a little bit too comfortable and sprawls across Lomphonten’s face like he’s one of those facehugger creatures from Alien!

Of course we all know this is no accident. Kitty knows exactly what he’s doing!

Lomphonten had no idea just how much of a love bug Achi was until he reviewed the hilarious footage from the video camera.

In fact, the screen stills proves that his cat is as naughty as they come!

But, how could anyone think otherwise, when Achi is always sporting that squinty-eyed demon child expression of his?

This crazy evening ritual went on night after before Lomphonten finally caught on to Achi’s adorable antics.

The surprised cat owner told The Dodo he thought it was pretty hilarious:

“I sat and watched [the footage] one night. It was very funny. I feel very much in love with him that he loves me like this.”

Yep, this clueless guy was getting suffocated with love by his overly-attached cat, and he didn’t even know it!

Lomphonten doesn’t plan on dissuading Achi from using his head as a pillow rest. He believes the cat is just showing him what’s in his heart.

“It’s a show of love.”

And world domination. One down, 7 billion more face hugs to go.
