Christmas only comes once a year, and this festive time is always filled with fun celebrations and traditions.
It’s a special time where families reunite and spend time together under one roof. It’s also the perfect occasion for the family and friends to give each other gifts. In regards to this, this particular family gives the purr-fect gift for their mom.
Son Nguyen and his family surprised their mom with a gift that made her the happiest woman in the room.
Nguyen’s mom was at her old age but they were aware of what the perfect gift for her was – a cat. As the family carefully gave their mom the cat they put in a decorated shoebox, they already felt anxious and excited about what her reaction was going to be. Of course, their mom has no idea of what the gift was and so she was excited as the rest of the family were.

Nguyen’s mom slowly lifted the box’s cover only to see a black cat waiting for her inside. She was surprised as the cat’s head sprang out the box, but a few seconds later, she smiled widely as she tightly hugged the confused cat. You could hear their mom sniffling with joy as she wrapped her arms around the cat.
The mother’s son moved the box out of the way so that the cat could rest on her lap. The cat might have been confused at first, but with grandma’s gentle pets and hugs, the cat immediately felt at ease and gently laid on her lap.
The Nguyen family shared the wholesome Christmas clip on the internet.
Son Nguyen decided to share the wholesome clip online. The clip was uploaded in January 2017, and since then, the video has already been viewed more than 13 million times. Unfortunately, in June 2020, Nguyen came back to the video to share the heartbreaking news of his mom’s death.
He also said that the cat was doing fine but he continues to miss their mom every day. Surely, even with the short time that Nguyen’s mom spent with the cat, she was happy.
It’s always great to have a new family member at home.
Normally, it’s the kids who usually ask their parents for a furry friend.
However, it’s not rare for parents or grandparents to wish for the same thing. As kids grow up, they eventually leave their parents behind so that they could start their own lives. Perhaps that is the reason why, to make the house less lonely, some parents and grandparents would want to keep a pet at home.
