It is not at all an unusual thing to see a dog giving all he/she has for his/her master.

However, what is unusual (and very sweet) is to see his/her excited response to a newly arrived member of his/her family in the form of an infant baby.

And in today’s story, we will be telling you about 3-year-old Max, a Golden Retriever, and how he amazingly welcomed his owner’s 2-days old infant baby girl at home for the first time.

Golden Retrievers are well known for their unique personality traits: intelligent, kind, friendly, trustworthy, reliable, and very confident, as mentioned on Hillspet.

That is why they are considered one of the best dog breeds for family pets, service dogs, and search/rescue dogs.

In this brief video-based story, you will see exactly why Golden Retrievers are well-known for these traits.

Often than not, a dog’s response to a new arrival in the family is unexpected but largely depends upon how he/she has been brought up and his/her place in the household, as mentioned in an article by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).

But in the case of this Golden Retriever male, it was one of the sweetest experiences one can see.

So, he was waiting at the doorstep with the mother of the household getting him ready to welcome his new baby sister.

Max was already excited and moving here and there in full anticipation, all the while wagging his tail violently.

In no more than a minute or two, the father came in with the 2-days old baby girl inside a baby carrier.

As soon as Max saw the newly arrived baby sister, he was at once anxious to make his first contact with the newborn baby.

As the personality traits of a Golden Retriever says, Max welcomed his new baby sister with full joy and a welcoming sniff.

Not only did he welcome his baby sister with vigorous enthusiasm, but he also started to sniff and lick the baby’s tiny toes to feel the smell and warmth of his new family member.

But just after that Max did something so cute, which was the sweetest part of this video.

The Golden Retriever started to lick the cheeks of the mother and father as if to express his utter happiness and unconditional love for them and his new baby sister.

Not only that but the intelligent dog also showed signs of his protective behavior towards the newborn.

Apparently, it is experiences like these that confirm the extraordinary intelligence and emotional depth of dogs whom, some people, unfortunately, do not believe.
