People in countries across the world are trying to do their part to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Instead of following our normal daily schedules – we’re social distancing, isolating our families at home, and only going to stores when it’s essential.

But as good as we’re all being, it doesn’t mean we can’t still have cravings! There’s something about a special treat or snack food that can really boost your mood. And if you get a specific one stuck in your head, it’s probably not going away until you get it. Yet, many would agree that a “snack run” shouldn’t equate to an essential store trip.

There are some who’ve been getting quite creative while being under self-quarantine – including a man from Pesquería, Mexico who just wanted a bag of Cheetos.

Antonio Muñoz was hit one day with the craving for the delicious, orange snack food. It was also his third day of being hunkered down at home, and likely, he didn’t want to leave for something non-essential. But instead of going without the cheesy treat, Antonio decided to think outside the box.

While social distancing is a thing, it doesn’t mean we don’t still have man’s best friend!

Antonio came up with the clever idea to send his pooch named Chokis to a nearby store for a bag of Cheetos. He wrote out a note to the market owner, then attached it and some money to the little dog’s collar.

Before sending Chokis off on his snack mission, Antonio snapped a couple of photos to share. He later wrote on Facebook:

“Day three of quarantine. I wanted my cheetos 😂‌😂‌😂‌”

So off the tiny dog went to (hopefully) purchase a bag of Cheetos! The store was just across the street, so it wouldn’t be a very far journey.

Curious what Antonio said to the storekeeper in his note? Bored Panda helped translate his message in an article on their website. It said something like:

“Hello Mr. Shopkeeper. Please sell my dog some Cheetos, the orange kind, not the red ones, they’re too hot. She has $20 attached to her collar. WARNING: She will bite if not treated right. Your front neighbor.”

Surely Antonio was curious whether or not his four-legged buddy could actually obtain the snack he was craving. After all, how often do you see a pooch doing the grocery shopping?

But sure enough, he captured the following photo. Hooray, Chokis!

From the looks of it, the dog even came back with the right flavor. Now, how often does that actually happen?

Antonio’s comical post is going viral and is bringing a smile to faces all across the internet. As of now, it’s been shared 251K times on Facebook.

After the pooch was successful in bringing home a yummy bag of Cheetos (that many of us would do anything for) – the question is, was that its only snack run?

The clever dog owner told Metro.co.uk:

“Chokis delivered the Cheetos this time and on two other occasions but for different potato chip flavours.”

With all that’s going on in the world, it’s important to find enjoyment in all the ways you can while sticking at home. Some internet users are joining in on dance challenges, and this guy discovered a brilliant way to get his Cheetos and eat them too!
