Not all dogs get along with cats. Sometimes, they will hate each other’s guts since they are just not compatible being with each other. However, it would be a different case if you have a dog with a gentle and calm temperament, just like this particular curious dog who was introduced to a sea of kittens.
Puppy and a bedful of kittens.
One or two kittens are adorable enough, but what about seeing a bed that is full of them? As humans could not probably resist this level of cuteness, this particular puppy also could not. This puppy was one of the first ones to witness this sea of kittens aside from his owners.
Looking closely, the puppy looks like a beagle and golden retriever mix due to his droopy ears and pure golden color. When he saw the abundance of little kittens on the bed, he just could not help but become curious.
The puppy knows that he should be gentle with these little kittens.
Some dogs would probably jump on the bed and put their snoots on the feeble-bodied kittens once they heard or sniffed these kittens in the house. However, this good boy just admires the cute kittens without trying to touch them. He just placed his snoot on the bed and wagged his tail as he watched the kitties do their thing.
Sometimes, when the cats get too close to the edge of the bed, the curious puppy would observe them closely.
The kittens could just do whatever they wanted without fearing the dog’s presence.
Even the mother cat has no problems with the puppy being around.
Cats are protective mothers and they will not hesitate to stand up to their kittens when they sense danger. In this video, however, the kitten’s mother does not seem to mind having the puppy around the house to check on her kittens. In fact, you could see the puppy sniffing the mother cat without a problem.
They must have been together there for a long time and they eventually built up enough trust with each other.
The adorable video found its way online and people just could not get over it.
Viral Paws was able to secure copies of the clip from Kuaishou and compiled it into one before uploading it to their YouTube channel. The video easily garnered more than 3.8 million views on the platform with tons of people commenting on how adorable they are. To make watching the video a bit better, a user left a hilarious comment that read:
“Someone littered marshmallows on the bed.”
With the abundance of these cats, we could safely assume that the owners are cat breeders.
The kittens shown in the video are British Shorthair cats. This breed is native to England and has been around for at least a century, making them one of the most ancient identifiable cat breeds in the world.
When these kittens would grow up, they would probably develop chunky cheeks, large and round eyes, and their shiny coats. This pedigree breed is usually pricey because of how popular they are around the world.
