Meet Benny: a sweet cat who loves spending time with his mom’s foster kittens.
Benny had a tough start to life. His mom was a stray, and when he and his four siblings were born, they were all very sick. Benny was one of the sickest kittens—he had tons of parasites and an Upper Respiratory Infection.
A feline veterinary technician named Ellen Carozza offered to foster Benny and his siblings. She nursed the kittens back to health.
Once the kittens were strong enough, they were adopted out to good homes. At first, Carozza planned on adopting out Benny too. But she had fallen in love with the sweet cat, and she eventually decided to adopt him herself.
Soon after Carozza adopted Benny, she took in another litter of foster kittens. She was amazed to see how Benny reacted to the new kittens.
Benny quickly made friends with the kittens, and he taught them socialization skills. He also gave the kittens baths and cuddled with them.
Carozza was surprised to see how Benny reacted to the kittens. She started fostering more and more litters of kittens. Benny was so excited every time she brought home a new box of kittens—it was like Christmas morning for him!
Benny also has some go-to fatherly moves he uses whenever the kittens are upset. When the kittens start crying, he’ll give them a pat on the head and a lick. It’s his way of telling them that everything will be okay.
Since Carozza adopted Benny, he has become the surrogate dad for dozens of kittens. He loves every single kitten Carozza brings home!
Benny spends his days cuddling with the kittens and napping with them. He also makes sure to supervise Carozza when she’s feeding the kittens—he wants to make sure his adopted babies are okay.
Carozza loves seeing the way Benny interacts with the kittens. It almost seems like he remembers how difficult his kittenhood was—he doesn’t want his foster kittens to struggle like he did.
