In 2007, a hungry stray Calico kitten broke into a zoo in St. Petersburg, Russia.
The kitten wandered around the zoo, unsure where to go. Then, the kitten saw a baby lynx sitting in an enclosure. Zoo officials think that the hungry kitten wanted to eat the lynx’s leftover food. And so, the little kitten climbed into the enclosure.
The lynx immediately started licking the Calico kitten. She was so excited to meet her new friend!
When the zoo officials saw the lynx and kitten, they were shocked. The officials took the kitten out of the lynx’s enclosure. But soon after that, the kitten climbed back into the enclosure! It was clear that the two young animals had quickly bonded, and they didn’t want to be separated.
And so, the zoo officials let the kitten stay in the enclosure. They named the lynx Linda and the Calico kitten Dusya.
Linda and Dusya started growing older, and they still loved each other more than anything. Their bond seemed to grow stronger as they got bigger!
In 2014, the St. Petersburg Leningradsky Zoo shared an incredible video of Linda and Dusya in their enclosure. The video shows Linda and Dusya taking turns licking and grooming each other. After they finish grooming each other, the cats cuddle together. These two are as sweet as can be!
This incredible video of Dusya and Linda went viral, receiving more than 10 million views. Everyone was touched by these cats’ sweet relationship.
In the comments to the YouTube video, many people talked about how touching Linda and Dusya’s friendship was.

The St. Petersburg Zoo also shared an amazing photo of Linda and Dusya on their Instagram page. You can clearly see how much these two love each other in this photo.

Dusya and Linda were two lonely cats who didn’t have anybody else in the world. But now, these two have formed an unlikely and unbreakable bond with each other. We’re so glad the St. Petersburg Zoo adopted Dusya—now, she and Linda never have to worry about being apart again.
