Big or small, young or old, the first snowfall of the year is always magical. There’s just something liberating about feeling the snow fall onto your face that makes you feel completely alive- but often, as adults, we don’t let ourselves embrace this feeling.
Kids, on the other hand, are more than prepared to show the world just how much they love snow.
Is there anything sweeter than watching a child building snowmen or trying to catch snowflakes on their tongue? Well, we think we might have just found something.
A video of a mama bear and her cub was caught by a security camera as the pair passed through someone’s garden. While it’s amazing in itself to see a bear in such close proximity to your house, the little cub’s reaction to the snow was truly something special.
The sweet video was shared onto YouTube by Ring, and it was captioned:
“Humans aren’t the only ones who enjoy catching snow flakes. These guest were seen walking through a neighbor’s front yard and one of them decided to stop and enjoy the snow.”
Naturally, it wasn’t long before people all over the world began to fall in love with the video, and it’s now been viewed over 180,000 times.
The video shows the mama bear and her cub’s journey through the snow one cold night. As the bears near the house, the security light is activated, and everything suddenly lights up- including the snow.
It’s like you don’t quite realize how thick and heavy the snow is falling until you shine a light onto it, and the bear cub suddenly was able to see each individual snowflake that was falling around him.
In excitement, he stops following his mamma, gets up onto his back legs and begins to try and catch the snowflakes in his paws. It’s like something out of a Disney movie!
The bear’s mom lets him have his fun for a couple of seconds before she continues her journey, and the little cub understands that it’s time to follow. But thanks to the homeowner’s security camera, this special moment had been captured for us all to see.
