Talk about some sweet love for your pets! Meet the adorable four pups Tessa, Bruno, Cooper, and Mia who happily live with their loving owner Aaron Franks in Pennsylvania.
Aaron wanted to do something special for his four dogs and figured out a perfect idea to give them something they could all equally enjoy.
The man transformed his backyard into a huge playground complete with sleeping mats, a small pool, and stairs.
Even though the man doesn’t have any prior building experience at all, we have to admit that the backyard playground looks absolutely terrific.
“I feed them, I water them and walk them every day. They get their exercise and stuff, but I guess at the end of the day I just felt like it wasn’t enough,” Aaron said to The Dodo. “I felt like this would be a good way to show my love for them. It makes me feel good that I could do that for them.”
The project started two years ago when Aaron had the idea to transform his back deck and yard into a large space for his pets. He wanted to spice things up a little bit and decided to build a boat-like structure completely in a pirate theme.
The construction features a ton of little nifty things such as running water, a couple of lights for the atmosphere and some cozy places where Aaron can hang out with his pups.
He didn’t really plan things ahead, the man just started building and the backyard gradually evolved into the playground it is today.
“It just came together as I went along. I just went for it,” the proud man said. “I worked on it a little bit at a time, sometimes just a few boards a month. Every time I got a couple of extra bucks, I’d go out there and add to it.”
The structure is definitely impressive and seems like a true paradise for four-footers. The top level of the pirate ship is easily accessible for humans.
“There are three levels,” he said. “The top level is my deck. When they go down the ramp, there’s a second level on the inside of the house where they can lay down and look out the windows. On the inside, there’s a staircase that leads down to the bottom floor. That’s where they can come out by the pool. There’s a separate room there also.”
Aside from the immensely cool swimming pool, Aaron also installed rope swings for the pups to hang around in.
“They love it,” Aaron told. “My two older dogs lay around and hang out. They’ve got some new views now where they can see over the fence. For the two youngest, it’s like a romp room. They go down there jumping and playing around, swinging on the swings. It’s pretty cool.”
The beautiful pirate structure becomes even more impressive at night when the built-in lights shine.
Even though it took over two years to build, owner Aaron is immensely proud and is elated that his dogs adore the pirate ship. What an epic playground!
