The 26-year-old Ninna Mandin from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil thought that everything was running smoothly in her life, and she was even getting married quite soon. However, those wedding plans quickly fell into the water when Ninna made a shocking discovery about her fiancé. She installed security cameras in her home that caught her boyfriend brutally abusing her dog, in what was absolutely horrific footage.
Ninna started to notice that her French bulldogs had bruises and blue spots all over their body and didn’t have a clue why that was. After some thought, she correctly suspected that something wasn’t entirely right. She also noticed that their pups were starting to get scared of him.
“They became really scared of him. After that, the wounds started to appear and the vet couldn’t explain where they were coming from. That’s when I decided to install a camera in the living room,” she says.
When she reviewed the footage from the secretly installed security cameras, she couldn’t believe her eyes. Her fiancé could be seen hitting and kicking one of her bulldogs in absolutely disgusting fashion.
Ninna recalls that her love for her fiancé disappeared instantly after viewing the footage.
“I’m not even thinking about the wedding. My pain is seeing what the dogs suffered.”
Without hesitation, Ninna called off the wedding in an instant. She would’ve never believed that the man she loved would be capable of doing such horrendous things such as animal cruelty, but is glad she found out before they got married.
She always thought of him as a very affectionate person towards herself and her family and even the dogs, but it was all just a ruse. When Ninna would disappear, her boyfriend’s true attitude towards to the loyal pups would rise to the surface.
“It was a shock, because we think we know people, but in reality we don’t,” she said. “But now, I want justice before the law.”
She didn’t stop there because Ninna also posted the footage on the internet exposing her ex-boyfriend to the entire world.
The Brazilian woman also organized an online petition so that he could be rightfully charged with animal cruelty. Ninna’s story went viral and she quickly amassed more than 30,000 people to join the petition.
The police have investigated the report, but their findings weren’t made public.
The man has been on the run in his home country ever since the video was released, as he rightfully faced widespread disgust of his fellow citizens.
