No one knew how long she had been there, clinging to the wall for her life so tightly that her paws bled. She had a terrified look on her face. Not only was she scared but she seemed like she might be losing her will to fight.
Her face eased up a little bit when she saw humans arrive above her. As if she knew they were there to help.
Thankfully, someone noticed the pooch at the bottom of a deep well and called Animal Aid Unlimited, India.
It is unknown how many hours the poor dog had been struggling to stay afloat but she seemed tired and worn out when rescuers arrived.
“We got a call to rescue a dog fighting for her life after falling in a deep well,” a caption for the dog’s rescue video reads.
“She may have been swimming for hours before a villager saw her and called our helpline. She was quickly losing her strength and could barely hold onto the sides of the well.”
The poor dog was pawing and scraping at the rock.
Every so often she would slip into the water and dog paddle around before tiring to climb back up again.
The dog looked relieved when a man strapped to a harness was lowered down into the well.
A giant net was also lowered down into the well. The man grabbed up the dog and placed her into the net while a group of rescuers slowly pulled her up the face of the extremely deep well.
The dog was eventually pulled all the way to the top to safety.
The dog was taken to a vet where she had her bloody paws patched up and was given a place where she could relax and recover.
“That broke my heart, seeing her clinging to the wall. You could see her desperation in eyes,” one YouTuber wrote. “She was so frightened. Thank you all for being there when she needed help. You are all wonderful and devoted to rescuing animals. God bless you all.”
